2026 Top Doctor in Cardiac Surgery

I am deeply honored to be recognized among the 2026 Top Doctors in Cardiac Surgery.

While my name appears on this award, it truly represents the incredible people I have the privilege of working alongside every day. Cardiac surgery is the ultimate team sport. From our referring physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, operating room staff, ICU teams, and rehabilitation specialists, every successful outcome is the result of countless dedicated professionals working together with one shared purpose: providing the very best care for our patients.

I am also grateful to my mentors, colleagues, and, most importantly, to the patients and families who place their trust in me during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. That trust is something I never take for granted.

After more than three decades in cardiac surgery, I remain just as inspired today as I was on my very first day in the operating room. Every patient is a new opportunity to make a difference, and that privilege continues to be the greatest reward of my career.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here’s to continuing to serve, to teach, to innovate, and to always put our patients first.
