My New Book: I Used to be an Athlete

I Used to be an Athlete

My new book is now available on Amazon Kindle, paperback, and hardcover.

The inspiration for the book comes from my readings of Moses Ben Maimon, commonly known as Maimonides or Rambam.

Maimonides was a Jewish sage, as well as a preeminent astronomer and physician, who lived from 1138-1204. While serving as the private physician to a young prince in Cairo, he wrote a instruction manual for the prince called, “The Preservation of Youth.” In this manual, Maimonides discussed the three basic elements for health —proper eating, daily exercise, and emotional wellbeing.

Remarkably, almost a thousand years later, little has changed. In the modern world, it’s fair to say that we often make the road to staying healthy a bit too complicated. In my version of “The Preservation of Youth,” I discuss how easy to is for us to get back on the path by focusing once again on the basics. Because the concepts are so simple, my book can be read in just one or two sittings.

I also hope that you will find my book relatable, as I discuss my personal journey of dieting, inconsistent exercise, and a career of stress —issues that we all have had to deal with from time to time over our adult lives.
