Take Care of Your Team!

“Take care of your employees, and they will take care of your business. As simple as that!” – Richard Branson

Mr. Branson understands (in his words) that “your employees are your company’s real competitive advantage. They’re the ones making the magic happen, as long as their needs are being met.”

Today is one of our cardiac surgery CRNP’s birthdays, and in a few weeks she will be going out on maternity leave. A small gesture of thanks, be it a surprise birthday cake, cupcakes, or baby shower, can make a valued colleague and team member feel that much more appreciated.

I have always believed that success, be it in medicine, law, academics, or business—or in life—comes from your caring about others, and sharing that gratitude with them every single day!
