Rare Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm

First Video Slide: Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysms are rare and more common in men. The right sinus is the most common location; however, this 45-year-old man had an even rarer non-coronary sinus aneurysm (15%) with rupture into the right atrium (7%).
The patient underwent surgical repair with a bovine pericardial patch of the non-coronary sinus via a transverse aortotomy, and a counter patch via a right atriotomy. Postoperative course has been unremarkable, and he remains in normal sinus rhythm.

Second Video Slide: Our 45-year-old patient who underwent emergency repair of a ruptured Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm into the Right Atrium is going home on Day3! He describes his experience at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital.

UPDATE: Here is my patient, Sanjay Patel, now fearless after recovering from emergency heart surgery for a ruptured Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm!
