With permission from my patient to post, Brent underwent a surgical aortic valve replacement just 4 days ago and is on his way home, looking and feeling fabulous. While TAVR is an important advanced minimally invasive procedure for many patients, the traditional surgical aortic valve replacement remains an excellent choice for young patients with congenitally abnormal valves, especially in cases of aortic insufficiency (leaking valve), as was the case here. Congratulations Brent!
