The Comfort of a Simple Crayon

One of the worst tragedies in our lifetime was the massacre of the children at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut by a disturbed young gunman.  That week I happened to be giving a talk on health at the Crayola Corporate Headquarters in Easton, Pennsylvania.  Below is an essay that I wrote about my feelings that week. I’m grateful to Jen Lader, Editor of Hakol, for publishing this delicate essay.  I received hundreds of nice responses from around the country.
