Calcium-Score Helped Save His Life!

Calcium-Score Helped Save His Life!
𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐢𝐮𝐦-𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞! A calcium-score screening heart test (coronary calcium scan) uses computerized tomography (CT) to detect calcium deposits in the coronary arteries of your heart. A higher coronary calcium-score suggests you have a higher chance of significant narrowing in the coronary arteries and a higher risk of future heart attack.

Even though this patient had no symptoms, his sister encouraged him to get a calcium-score test, because of a positive family history. His calcium-score was very high, which led to a positive stress test, and a cardiac catheterization, which determined that he had life-threatening coronary artery disease.
The patient had successful coronary artery bypass surgery and is looking forward to going home, after only 4 days of recovery from his operation.
