Nothing can be more important than knowing the experience level of your surgeon. Generally speaking, the more you do something, the better you become! Since entering practice in 1992, I have performed over 6,500 major heart and lung operations and numerous minor bedside procedures.

Today, many esophageal cancer patients are able to go home after only a few days in the hospital. This allows them to recover more quickly and are thus better prepared to receive the often necessary chemotherapy or radiation to help cure them of this challenging disease.
