AHA Annual Heart Walk 2023

American Heart Association Heart Walk

Since my first year in practice in 1992, I have been a member of the American Heart Association and I have supported the Annual Heart Walk. This year, we will once again be walking around Citizenโ€™s Bank Park in Philadelphia, on Saturday, November 4. Hopefully, this will follow the Phillies World Series Victory Parade!

I walk because I know that with every step, I am helping to save lives.

Keep in mind that one person dies every 33 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease. The total last year was approximately 700,000 people, accounting for 1 in every 5 deaths.

The cost of cardiovascular disease is also staggering. Heart disease cost the United States approximately $240 billion each year. This includes the cost of healthcare services, medicines, and lost productivity due to death.

We’re all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me?

Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives. It will help place AEDs in schools and training teachers and coaches in performing CPR and applying AEDs properly to save our children’s lives, perhaps our own lives.

Please consider a donation to help us save lives. Come walk with me and joing thousands of people from our community who wish to make a difference!
