First Video Slide: Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysms are rare and more common in men. The right sinus is the most common location; however, this 45-year-old man had an even rarer non-coronary sinus aneurysm (15%) with rupture into the right atrium (7%).
The patient underwent surgical repair with a bovine pericardial patch of the non-coronary sinus via a transverse aortotomy, and a counter patch via a right atriotomy. Postoperative course has been unremarkable, and he remains in normal sinus rhythm.
