But like any test, it has limitations.
A calcium score detects ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐พ๐๐ฒโnot the full spectrum of coronary disease. It does not identify soft or unstable plaque, which can still place patients at risk.
A score of zero can be reassuringโbut it is not a guarantee.
As physicians and healthcare leaders, we must continue to emphasize comprehensive, patient-centered evaluationโintegrating imaging, clinical judgment, and individual risk factors.
No single number should define a patientโs heart health.
