February is American Heart Month. As a reminder to all of us, please don’t ignore chest pains. This interview is of a 47-year-old man who had chest pains for several months and eventually ended up in the hospital with a heart attack. Fortunately, he was able to be stabilized and underwent successful triple-vessel, coronary artery bypass surgery.

 

He now has a new lease on life and will be taking measures to be healthier, especially his need to stop smoking. This is a reminder that a heart attack can strike even at a young age, and that no matter how much hard work and stress you have in your life, it’s important to take care of yourself, first and foremost!
